Are all lacrosse balls the same? PEARL X is built different

pearl lacrosse balls are built different
If you’re an experienced lacrosse player or coach, you know that traditional lacrosse balls turn into greasers and harden over time. You’ve probably had to soak your ball in hot water, purchase lacrosse ball degreasers, or mess with ball scratchers. It shouldn’t have to be that way…

We knew we could fix this issue and provide a premium lacrosse ball for lacrosse players and coaches.

Traditional lacrosse balls are made from vulcanized rubber overseas and they tend to go out of spec over time getting greasy and hard.  Our owners Lee & Erin Hanson have a 25+ year old chemical engineering business, so we put our scientists to work.  They went in the lab and formulated a premium lacrosse ball out of an elastomer that meets specs and standards and doesn’t change over time.

Out of the lab popped the PEARL X lacrosse ball – the world’s first greaseless lacrosse ball and also the first modern lacrosse ball made in America.

Once we had the perfect PEARL X in hand, we went through the rig moral to get the balls certified for games because practices are frequent, but games are when we go full force.  PEARL X balls are SEI certified and meet the current NOCSAE/NFHS/NCAA standards. The balls are official for both game and practice use.

Hear from our very own PEARL expert, Mike Crawford, about how PEARL X lacrosse balls are built different.
